End of Year Activities Approaching Fast

Milton-Ulladulla Dog Training Club Member, Di Richmond’s Kelpie “Lady” celebrated her 15th Birthday on 15 September 2019 and has the honour of being the Club’s oldest dog. “Lady” has only recently undergone an eye operation but thankfully has recovered well and loves going along to Dog Training each week to watch all the activities.


Congratulations to member Allison Nagle and her Belgian Shepherd, Livvy, who has had great success since moving to Queensland, gaining her Aust. Ch. Neut. Beljekali La Merilleure rn.

Future Activities

The Club’s yearly activities are approaching. Please note that the Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Sunday 10 November 2019 with nominations required for all positions on the Committee. Forms are available at the Clubhouse or you can download them from the Club’s website. Information regarding responsibilities of each position is included.

Exciting News

Big Dog Club news is that the Agility Ring at the rear of Milton Showground will be restored due to the grant from the Mulwaree Trust and the Club meeting the balance. It is to be undertaken during the Christmas New Year Break. The last Dog Club day of the year will be on Sunday 1 December 2019 which is the Club’s Annual Presentation Day and Christmas Party.

The Club will resume on Sunday 2 February 2019 which will be a New Members Day for dogs aged from sixteen weeks. Baby Puppies aged from eight weeks may join on any Sunday that Dog Club is being held. Proof of your dog’s immunisation must be shown when joining. Joining Fee, Annual Subscriptions and training fees need to be paid in advance. You need to bring your dog’s own water bowl. Handlers should wear a hat and closed in shoes.

Snake and Tick Warnings

A warning that there has been reports of snakes and ticks about, so please take care to look out for both, and make sure your dog has tick prevention.

Assessment Sheets

The Club now has Assessment sheets listing exercises needed to be successfully completed to graduate from Class 1 to Class 2 and Class 2 to Class 3 for members. Information available on the Club’s website. If you need to purchase items at the Clubhouse of a Sunday, please try to have correct cash or you can pay by card. Payments close at 8.50am as classes commence promptly at 9.00am.

The next new members day will be held on Sunday 3 November 2019. Changes in the Sunday program will be advised via Facebook as early as possible of a Sunday Morning.


Obedience Classes are held promptly at 9.00am while Agility Class commences at 7.15am for Advanced handlers. Intermediate Agility Class is at 8.00am-8.45am. Beginners Agility Class is at 9.45am-10.30am. Rally O Classes are held on the second and fourth Sunday of the Month from 7.30am.
