Early in September, Millhouse Artists enjoyed a workshop on ‘Using Colour’ presented by Chris Allen, who was recently made a Life Member. It was a fun way of getting back to basics by creating warm and cool colour wheels, learning about hue, tint, shade and much more, then creating paintings using the knowledge gained.
Presentation to Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club
One of our goals at the Millhouse Art Society is to contribute to our local community. One way in which we do that is to run fundraising raffles during our Civic Centre exhibitions at Christmas and Easter. The proceeds from last Easter’s raffle were presented to the President of Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club, Rod Austin, OAM at our general meeting on 19 August 2019. Thanks to artist Bernice Bryan for dating her painting ‘On the Rocks’ to the raffle prize.
Sausage Sizzle Success
Millhouse members wish to give Bunnings Warehouse a big thank you for giving them an opportunity to fundraise through their community-spirited barbeques. Special thanks to Millhouse artist, Gina Law, who not only suggested the idea, but followed through, working before and throughout the day, to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Shoalhaven Art Society Exhibition
