Milton Pony Club had a great rally recently with lots of keen riders. We were very lucky to have Portia share some of her expertise and tips for flatwork and show riding. Ray put everyone through their paces with a challenging jump course run as an AM7.
Our riders were able to improve their sporting with Debbie’s advice on Bending, Barrels, Diamond Flag and Keyhole. Thanks to our instructors for your valuable time. We are lucky to have you! We are all looking forward to our annual gymkhana coming up soon where we will have visiting riders from within our zone and beyond.
Best of luck to all of our riders. Remember the importance of the partnership with your horse. Hard work will be rewarded! Sienna was awarded our Rider of the Month prize for September. Congratulations Sienna.

How long have you been riding your horse? Two and a half years.
Favourite thing about pony club: I love riding with my friends and doing different activities, especially showjumping.
Favourite thing about your horse: He has such a funny attitude to life. He is very protective of me and looks after me. He is always willing to give everything a go.
Least favourite thing about your horse: He is not the friendliest to other horses at times! He is very clever and knows when he has to work, especially to come to pony club.
Favourite food from the canteen: Cake.
Favourite thing to do when not riding: I love being creative and enjoy making gifts for my friends and writing stories.

How many falls have you had? Multiple. I once fell off at the halt! I was practising a skill needed for mounted games where you lean right down out of the saddle and I ended up slipping right off!
Who is your role model? I recently rode at an event with Teagan Todd, a local rider. I really appreciated her attitude and horse skills.
Main goal for this year: To improve my horsemanship and to be happy and successful. I want to keep having lots of fun with Bonnie.
