Mollymook Beach Bowling Fishing Club had a great turn out for the March competition. Graham Cousins, Carol Richardson, Ray Lewin, Matt Eyley and Dave Thomas all braved the sloppy conditions and headed off shore for a nice feed of fish. Graham Cousins came home with some nice Flatties and a Beat the Board Flounder.
It was the Rock and Beach boys who scored the big points this competition with a tight race between this month’s winner of the Biggest Catch and Tutty Award, Albert Dos Santos with a great catch of Bream, Drummer, Salmon and Whiting (won’t mention the Dart) at 15.855 kilograms, and Club Champion, Mark Johnston weighing in 14.990 kilograms.
Albert also had amongst his catch, four Beat the Board fish including a nice 0.965 kilogram Rock Cod. Carol Richardson showed the women how it’s done with some nice flathead, and Julian Sharrad won the secret weight, and a good catch of 7.390 kilograms. The Juniors were keen this month with Thomas Nelson, Lucus Nelson, Liam Nelson and Charlie Mines all weighing in. Great to see the Juniors getting into it. See you at the next comp and remember new members are always welcome. Happy fishing and stay safe! Catch ya!
