In light of the Prime Minister’s press conference, the Milton Ulladulla U3A Committee has reluctantly decided that all our courses will be cancelled, effective Monday 23 March 2020, until further notice. We take this opportunity to wish you and your family well during the COVID-19 virus crisis and urge you not to take any notice of any of the misinformation that is being disseminated via social media or idle gossip.
As per official advice, we recommend that you observe personal hygiene by thoroughly washing your hands frequently and keeping what is called a Social Distance of one and a half metres from other people where possible. It is also recommended that you do not shake hands with anyone, and if you have to sneeze or cough, please do so in the crook of your elbow to avoid any possible spreading of the virus. We hope to recommence courses as soon as we can and will let you know when.
You may be aware that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for 24 April 2020. The Committee have decided to postpone the AGM until a date to be advised later.
A personal message from our President, Enid Everingham: “The Committee realises that course cancellation will affect many of our members socially; even though you may not be able to meet, please stay in touch with each other.”
